Spring break is here!

Today was my last day of school before spring break. (Tomorrow is officially a cut day due to budget woes.). So I woke up to this...

And it was another 2 hour delay. On March 22nd!! Crazy!!

So if I thought high school kids were squirrelly on a normal day before break...I learned a lesson in just how crazy they can get!

Happy spring everyone! Does it look like it more where you are??

Happy st Patrick's day!!

On the day of the Irish, Corbin finally fits in to the Christmas pajamas I got him at Costco back in November. Not so sure why I thought he would grow so much in a month. Oh well. Flannel pjs are still a good idea.

This is an action shot. I caught him mid-clap.

Lots of pictures

Just some photos today to show you how big Corbin is getting.

Trying yogurt for the first time. I think he liked it.

Hair is getting longer. Or at least fuzzier.

Hanging out with great-uncle Pete in Salem.

Exploring his musical side with cousin Eliza.

Two pacifiers? At the same time? He just switched them back and forth over and over again after a few seconds. Very funny to watch.

Not totally sure how to maneuver this to his mouth but so thrilled to be given a chance to try. Plus those pants? They fit just last week. Honest.

And this is for anyone who doesn't think springing forward was all that bad. This is two days after the time change. An hour past bedtime.

He also learned to clap this week and is feeling closer to crawling all the time. Plus he pulled himself up to sitting tonight. This is getting dangerous!!

Two years!!

Tom and I have now been married for 2 years! Ah yes! That huge milestone. It has been an amazing beginning to the rest of our lives. I am constantly reminded of how well I did. My husband is pretty dang awesome!!

Just today he sent me a fantastic email that arrived in my inbox at just that time that I needed it. Loved that!!

We went to dinner tonight to celebrate our anniversary. Corbin came with us. (we will do a more elaborate celebration later - when it is less Tuesday-ish.)

As we ate, we realized we are that family with the Cheerio throwing baby. See proof here--

Corbin practicing with the swiping and the flinging.

My enchiladas (yum!!) with a Cheerio garnish.

Guess I am glad that Cheerio landed on my plate and not on another table. No matter how cute he is, I think people might struggle with the late addition of Cheerios to their entrees.
We also learned he understands straw basics. He didn't do any sucking but he knew to stick the plastic straw in his mouth. Of course, right now he sticks everything in his mouth. Maybe he's not as naturally brilliant as we thought.

Naaahhh-- he's a complete prodigy. On important things like basic straw usage.
See---

Told you so!

Charles Dickens

It was the best of times...

It was the worst of times...

Actually, life is really really good. I just wanted a chance to share both pics with you.
Have a great week!!
