Thank you Grammy and Popop!

The other day we had a surprise check In the mail from Tom's parents. As some of you may know, they are currently in South Africa serving a mission for our church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. (You should check out their blog at cinquiniafricamission.blogspot.com). They have been there since November so I definitely did not expect a check from them. At first, I thought it was some sort of error but then I saw the note on it telling us to get a baby gift for Cole and something for Corbin too. They have only seen Cole in photos and on FaceTime chats. I know that is a hard thing for grandparents.
I decided to track down some good things on Craigslist. For Cole, I found this--
And this --
Plus a high chair. I will include a photo of that soon since we will be starting solid food soon and those always make for good photos. He has been reaching for our food a lot and staring us down at every bite. I think he thinks he's ready.
For Corbin, we aren't sure yet. He changes his mind often about the toy he wants next. I have started making a list on my phone for his birthday. It is easier to tell him that I will add something to his list rather than telling him no. Of course, now he wants me to pull out my phone and immediately add it. Yes sir!
Here's just a fun picture of him just because.
This is him wearing his cousin's graduation cap. (Way to go Maddy!) now we have him telling people he is going to college. That's right! Long term goals are good!

Sunbeam Song

Today, I peeked in at Corbin in his church nursery class. He was happily participating in the singing time. The kids were all wearing cut out yellow plates around their head and were singing Jesus Wants Me for a Sunbeam, one of my favorites when I was little.

The words say,

Jesus wants me for a sunbeam
To shine for him each day.
In every way try to please Him.
At home, at school, at play.
A sunbeam
A sunbeam
I'll be a sunbeam for Him.

So on the way home, I told him what I has seen. So tom and I began to sing and Corbin joined in - but we only got through the first two lines  -- Corbin's version went like this --

Jesus wants me for a sunbeam
To shine for him NEXT WEEK.

For whatever reason, Tom and I thought that was the funniest thing we had heard in a long time. Procrastinating sunbeam.

Love our funny kiddo.

Picture isn't connected to story. Consider it just a bonus pic. :)

Yum!

Corbin loves ice cream --

And Cole believes he will, too --

Cole on the move

Where did he go? I swear I left him on this blanket just a moment ago...
