Hair

So I color my hair. I have for a very long time. People talk to me about my beautiful blonde hair and depending on who they are, I just might tell them that it is possible for them to have the same color. Sometimes, people around my age talk about the increasing number of gray hairs on their head. I have to be honest. I have no idea if my hair has any gray in it. I don't actually even know what my "real" color is anymore.

So anytime I am headed to that hair appointment, tom always tries to get me to add a streak of some wild color. And I always kind of laugh it off.

But this time, I made it one of his father's day gifts. Something a little different, right?

But my hairdresser kind of shot down the idea of a streak. After some thinking, she came up with the shadowbox idea. So it's the bottom layers that are fairly hidden except at the ends or when I wear a ponytail.

And we decided on purple!

So here are the photos---

The first dye attempt. This only turned the hair reddish not really purple. So...

Then we used this one. Now that's a purple! And a double chin...I blame the photographer. Me.

Leaving the salon.

And with the ponytail.

So it has been kinda fun. Interesting responses from those that have noticed it but many don't even seem to see it. Or maybe they don't like it and are just being polite.

Oh well. Tom loves it! Happy Father's Day!

Eating!

Some recent pictures from Corbin's meal times. Messy business!

Luckily, he has been fascinated when I brush my teeth. It finally got me motivated to get him going with his own toothbrush. Gotta protect those two precious front teeth!!

We are the 1%!!

Well, at least Corbin is. That's where he falls on the height/weight charts so we have been instructed to fatten him up.
So he now has the following in his diet...
Cheese. Especially grated!
Avocado
Eggs (preferably with cheese)
Cottage cheese (full fat version!)
Coconut milk
Hamburger
Olive oil mixed with veggies (loves his peas!)
Full fat Greek yogurt (see below!)

Hard to see but this yogurt has 300 calories per serving! 16 grams of fat and 11 grams of protein! Corbin ate half of it tonight before bed.
If anyone has any other good ideas, let us know.
One thing tom and I have discovered is how yummy full fat stuff can be. Tom complained to me the other day that Corbin's yogurt was better than ours. Yep. That's how it works, I am afraid.
Here's some pics of my amazing boy.

Constantly on the move!!

Boat riding with dad.

With his own plate at sweet tomatoes.

Peekaboo with mom.

Thinking of taking up badminton.

Looking at what to throw around the room.

Refusing to sit down in car seat. He starts to throw the tantrum as soon as I open the car door. Arches his back, flips around, stands up. Please tell me this is a phase!!
That's all for now! :)
