Only in Portland?

Quick and funny story for you- 

Once a month I participate in a book club sponsored by Classroom Law Project. We are all teachers (with a few attorneys mixed in) who are reading books about the Constitution. I love it!

Anyway, we meet at the Lucky Lab on Hawthorne so we can eat dinner as we chat. I have to go directly from school in order to make it in time. So right now that means I must take with me the milk that I pumped during the school day. 

So after I ordered my meal (super yummy BLT) I asked for a couple scoops of ice to add to my large ziploc bag where my precious bottles were. Instead, the guy offered to put the bottles in the beer cooler until my meeting was over. :)

Pretty awesome, huh? I thought that was pretty good customer service and a pretty funny visual, too. I wonder if it caused any of the other workers a double take at the cooler. 

Also, when I collected them before I left I made a comment about being happy that they were still there. The guy let me know that he hadn't even been tempted. 

Ha ha!
